Her parents had her later in life and were both career entrepreneurs who nurtured and uplifted her throughout her childhood.  Although she often had behavioral issues throughout her educational career, her love of learning prevailed.  From working with homeless youth to becoming the director of special education, Dr. Ford found her passion in helping these marginalized communities.
