EPISODE SUMMARY

In this episode of Black Businesses Matter, I had the opportunity to sit down with Dana Bly Founder & CEO of Pardon My Fro. Pardon My Fro is an exclusive lifestyle brand of clothing, accessories, and chic home decor. When Dana kicked off her natural hair journey - she struggled to find imagery of natural Black women that was vibrant and fun. As an experienced graphic designer - Dana sought out to create the items she was looking for. Growing up in Germany, Dana was always immersed in arts and culture. She talks about her love for art and a special art teacher in high school who was influential in her journey. After getting her career started in corporate America - she decided it was time to exit and pursue something more meaningful. We talk through her mission behind Pardon My Fro and the importance of representation. She explains the importance of branding and how that should translate into all aspects of your business. Dana gives us great insight into the meaning behind having products that reflect who we are and why it is necessary in today's society. Pardon My Fro offers a wide variety of products that are beautifully crafted.
